Chani Vaknin

A young woman, just 21 years old—married, holding a baby in her arms, and expecting another. Relocating to another country for the sake of a cause. Overwhelming loneliness. I did not speak the language, yet my speech was always my greatest strength. My husband had to be everything—mother, friend, psychologist, neighbor, and more. During this time, I felt very alone—a woman living in the shadow of her husband, burdened with expectations and disappointments. I faced countless personal struggles, both within myself and in the world around me. Back then, there was little awareness of seeking external help—a mentor, therapist, or psychologist was not an option. And then came the breaking point—a major health crisis. Cancer.

A young woman with three children, far from family, forced to cope alone. At this lowest point, in the face of immense challenges, I came to a realization: I was responsible for myself. No one was coming to save me. I had to pull myself up from rock bottom. And so, I began to change. Step by step. I moved to a new place (within the same country). I changed my diet—for the sake of my health. I shifted my mindset—a deep, conscious transformation. I chose goodness. I chose light. In two key areas: Personal & couple empowerment.

As I grew, I noticed women around me opening their hearts—sharing their personal, marital, and sexual struggles. And I listened. I supported. I guided. I saw the impact—how my words, my presence, and my advice changed their lives. That’s when I understood that this is my mission in the world. Today, I dedicate myself to the field of couple and sexual counseling, as well as female empowerment. I support and uplift women and couples, helping each person rise from where they are.From my struggles, I grew. And I continue to grow.
